Remote working in Quebec

In 2022, In Quebec, around 35% of workers did remote working, the majority work in a hybrid manner. Near 40% of remote workers reported having already did remote working compared to 31% of workers. 

In the region of Outaouais and Montreal we can notice that a rate of 45% are working remotely and approximately 40% in the capital region. In comparison, this rate is 20% or even less in Gaspésie-Îles -de-la-Madeleine, in Bas-Saint-Laurent, in Centre-du-Québec, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and in the grouping of Côte-Nord and Nord-du-Québec. 

Comparisons about the practice of remote working were made depending on the gender, age group, education level, hourly wage, union coverage, the work building size, work characteristics and the administrative region. Comparisons between Quebec and other provinces are also shown.
